Queen Shin Sawbu Buddha Image

The Shin Saw Pu Buddha image is located at the Rāhu corner of the Shwedagon Pagoda’s platform, inside the Gandhakuṭi Hall near the great yellow Champak tree and adjacent to the Chanthar Gyi Buddha image. This Buddha image was donated by Queen Shin Saw Pu, who greatly contributed to the development of the Shwedagon Pagoda. It is also known as the “Bar-lay-Bar” Buddha image (Four Bars).
