The Sei-Taw-Mu Buddha Image is located in the southeastern corner (Tuesday Corner) of the Shwedagon Pagoda platform, within the U Maung Gyi Shrine. It is a Buddha image offered by the renowned traditional medicine practitioner, Sayar Myaing. Previously, the Sei Taw Mu Buddha Image was situated near the Let Nyo Taw Yay Kya Pagoda (Dropping Water from the Index Finger), in a small area where only one person could enter, with the body needing to lean to get inside. As more people became aware of the image due to its reputation for fulfilling wishes made with sincere devotion, the original location, being too small to accommodate many worshippers, was changed to the U Maung Gyi Shrine for easier access by all devotees.
