Planetary Posts around Shwedagon Pagoda

Around the main terrace of the Shwedagon Pagoda, the planetary posts are arranged according to the days of the week and their corresponding celestial bodies. There are two planetary posts on either side of each of the four main entrances, making eight posts in total, and there are four additional posts at each corner of the terrace. Altogether, there are 12 planetary posts around the Shwedagon Pagoda. When the celestial bodies of the planetary posts are counted together, there are 12 in total, reflecting their 108 elements of space.
