The Brahma Child-Holding Statue

The Brahma Child-Holding Statue is located at the southeast corner of the Shwedagon Pagoda’s main terrace, near the Mars planetary post, next to the Oil Lamp Pagoda-73 entrance post. The statue depicts Brahma holding a young boy in his arms, which is why it is called the Brahma Child-Holding Statue. Couples wishing for a son often come to this statue to pray, believing that their wishes will be granted.
