The first Bo Bo Aung Shrine, which is located at the Dhammaceti Pagoda, is a stupa-style structure with a pagoda at the top and an underground chamber or cave beneath it. Inside this underground chamber is a unique Buddha image known as “Cross-legged Buddha.” Facing the west, the entrance to this chamber was temporarily roofed before 1999. The Buddha image was believed to have been created by Bo Bo Aung, and because of this, devotees refer to it as the “Bo Bo Aung Pagoda,” venerating it for its blessings and historical significance.
