The Pyadashin Buddha statue is located on the eastern front of the Shwedagon Pagoda platform, near the left side at the top of the escalator staircase on the southern side. Among the bronze Buddha statues on the platform, this particular one stands out with its perfect proportions and elegant decorations, adorned in majestic royal attire. The statue’s forehead is slightly raised, which is said to be due to the presence of Pyada Shin. Originally, the statue was only venerated inside the Gandhakuṭi Hall, but for the convenience of pilgrims, a small shrine was built in 1999 to house it. Among the nine wonders, the Pyada Shin Buddha statue is ranked as Wonder No. 9.
