At Htee Taw Yon pavilion, members of the Pagoda Board Trustees, Public Service personnel, and sundry task groups, specifically, 25 members from each of these groups who wish to participate in reciting the Abhidhamma Dhamma perform the recitation. This recitation begins 20 days before the full moon day of Thadingyut, aligning with the traditional practices observed during this period. The event symbolizes a collective movement involving staff, sundry groups, and the Pagoda Board Trustees. According to the Pitaka, after attaining enlightenment, the Buddha spent three months teaching the Abhidhamma to his mother, who had been reborn in the Tavatimsa heaven. On the full moon day of Thadingyut, the Buddha descended back to Sankassa, greeted by his followers with candle lights. To mark this event, the Pagoda Board of Trustees initiated several groups a day before the full moon day of Thadingyut. These groups included the conch shell group, the triangular brass gong group, the gong group, the flower bowl group, the Sasana flag holders, and the signboard group, along with staff and sundry task members. The Board of Trustees members led a clockwise procession around the pagoda, offering five electric-lit stupas at the auspicious ground, the north of pagoda, believed to ensure victory or success. At dawn on the Abhidhamma day, the Pagoda Board of Trustees, religious associations, and staff offered alms food to the pagoda, conducted a question-and-answer session marking the Abhidhamma day, and recited Dhamma verses. At 9:30 AM, the congregation received the nine precepts from Ovadacariya Sayadaws, donated Waso Robes and offerings, and shared the merits gained. At 10:30 AM, in Yaung Taw Phwint pavilion, alms meals were offered to Sanghas, and devotees were provided with food.
