Although king Doddapong (BC- 443-373), of Sri Keshtera’s, was came to take the Buddha hair at the Singuthara Hill, they cannot do it.So,At the east south corner of the Temple, he donated a Umberalla that made with emerald handle and this umbrella’s roof was arranged with diamonds.
Although king Anawrahta (AD 1044-1077), of Bagan, tried to dig and take the buddha’s hair that keep at the Shwedagon pagoda, they cannot do it. So, At the east north corner of Shwedagon pagoda, he donated a ruby inside that the buddha’s hair keep after offering gold and silver umbrellas.
Although every Mon king dynasty of Hanthawaddy, matained the Shwedagon pagoda,Queen Shinsawpu(AD 1453 – 1472 ) of Mon State who got the Banyartall graduated, was built the full prayer pagoda that called Bar lay Bar after maintained the Shwedagon Pagoda Hill and platforms.
King Dhammazedi(AD 1472-1492), of the Hanthawaddy, donated the large Dhammazati bell and Dhammazati stone letters at the great Shwedagon Pagoda.
King Bayintnaung Kyawhtinanawrahta (AD 1551-1581),of Hanthawaddy that the Taungngu king dynasty, after sticking the gold sheets to the whole Shwedagon pagopda, donated his crown by taking off.

In the Kawza era (97) years,(AD 1600), it was collapsed and destroyed by an earthquake. So after maintain by the leading of Ingaphut Sayadaw and Laway Sayadaw, a new umbrella was donated by the goodness of people in July, 1910.
A Laung Min Tayar U Aung Zeya, the king of Konbaung dynasty Yadanar Theinkha (now Shwe Bo), after new city was built by changing the name from Dagon to Yangon, wayside public resthouses was bulit and donated at the shwedagon pagoda.
Sin Phyu Shin(AD 1794 – 1776), the king of Konbaung dynasty, instead the umbrella that destoryed due to an earthquake. In march 15, 1775 year, the new umbrella was donated by machine from the north side.
King Singu of Inwa (AD 1776 – 1782), Konbaung dynasty, the throne and the four statues of Pinsalawhar was casted and donated at the four side pavilion of pagoda platform. And then the great bell that graduated Maha Gana was casted and donated at the pavilion and Yarhu corner.
King Shwe Bo also know as king Hanthawaddy (AD 1837 – 1846), king of Amayapura, Konboung dynasty, casted and donated the great bell that graduted Mahartisaddhaganna and then the two giant monster statues and Eaitsarsara pagoda brick temple was built and donated at the southern pavilion of Shwedagon pagoda.
In the Konebaung period, King Mindon (AD 1853 – 1878), the new umbrella was delivered from Yatanarbon Naypyitaw to lower myanmar.And then donated this new umbrella all together, evenly by the people and monks of the lower myanmar.
The State Peace and Order Restoration Council renovated buddhist religious buildings such as pagodas, stupas, and temples in Myanmar and then the southern pavilion of Shwedagon pagoda was renovated and donated with public donations (1966).
