Yangon Bo Bo Gyi

The spirit shrine is located to the southwest of Siṅguttara Hillock, beneath a large banyan tree at the lower southwest corner. This area was previously neglected and avoided by people. However, after the spirit statue was placed under the banyan tree, it became a site where people believed their prayers would be fulfilled, leading many to make offerings. As a result, numerous devotees offer donations and build additional Nat shrines in the area. The statue is covered in gold leaf, and offerings and ceremonies are regularly held. It is commonly believed that those seeking success in business come here to pray. Below the spirit shrine, the remnants of colonial defenses can still be seen. The spirit statue under the banyan tree has been there since after 1975. The shrine is maintained by monks from the Mingun Monastery.
